We care for those who are suffering from various mental health conditions, including those who suffer from obesity due to mental health conditions or as a result of a medication they were using for a mental health condition.

Oceana Wellness and Psychiatry LLC was founded by Dr. Tanya Baca, DNP, CNM, PMHNP-BC, with a deep understanding of the barriers in healthcare, and she is driven by the desire to remove these obstacles and prioritize your health. Recognizing the importance of addressing physical ailments and the well-being of your mind, heart, and soul, we are committed to bridging the gap in care and ensuring access for all.

With over 24 years of experience in healthcare, including six and a half years as a board-certified provider, she has witnessed the rise in medical conditions among individuals. Her journey began during her high school years, and she has worked across various settings such as long-term care facilities, acute care rehab, primary care, pediatrics, medical-surgical, and
as a Certified Nurse-Midwife specializing in gynecologic and perinatal health and perinatal mental health from adolescence through the lifespan, including the postpartum period. 

Additionally, she has expertise in whole-body wellness, encompassing physical exercise, healthy eating, weight management, weight loss, and the mental health aspects of these areas.

Her pronouns are She/Her, and she prefers to be addressed as “Tanya” when working with clients. On a personal note, she is passionate about running, world travel, movies, beach outings, and amusement parks. She resides with her husband, three children, and three dog-doodles.
